Why remove vocals from a song?
This tool uses center-channel cancellation. In most stereo songs the lead vocal is mixed dead-center, so by subtracting the left and right channels from each other, the centered sound cancels out and the vocal mostly disappears. We keep the low bass intact with a frequency split, so the track still has weight. This is not AI stem separation, so results vary by song. Anything else parked in the center, like a snare, a kick, or a bass line, can fade too, and vocals that are hard-panned or drenched in reverb won't separate cleanly.
People reach for an instrumental for all kinds of reasons. Karaoke nights need a backing track without the lead singer. Cover artists and music students want to practice over the real arrangement. Producers pull instrumentals to remix, sample, or build something new. When a song has clean centered vocals, this gives you a usable backing track in seconds, for free.
Everything happens in your browser. Your song is never uploaded, so nothing sits on a server and nothing waits in a queue. There's no signup, no watermark, and no cost. You can try a track, hear the result, and try another one right away.

Private by design
Your song never leaves your device. The vocal removal runs locally in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm, so the audio is not uploaded, stored, or shared.
That means no accounts, no waiting on a server, and no copies of your music sitting somewhere else. When you close the tab, nothing is left behind.
